Pokémon Forever

$dex->modifyArtwork("alternate"); $pokedex++;

I’ve updated the site Pokedex to include alternate colour artwork for Pokemon.

I’ve updated the site Pokedex to include alternate colour artwork for Pokemon. If it’s not there yet, that means it’s still being updated, and check back within an hour.

I spent many hours on this. Feel free to use them for whatever. Just don’t complain about how any of them came out unless you’re going to change the colours for 389 images better than I did first.

Wow, they turned out a lot better than I could have expected. Really great work there. How long, on average, did it take to edit each individual picture?

Some of them took as long as three minutes, but most took a good 30 seconds to do. Add in the time to load the Pokemon’s Pokedex page to see the original and shiny colours, to see how to change the colours, and it could be a good minute. And with just under 400 images, those seconds and minutes really add up.

Meowth346 You are cool dude. But Shiny Mewtwo’s arwork won’t show :( And you’ll add Sugimori artworks of charaters. You’re great. I wish you good luck on building site but ya don’t need it.

What happened to the colosseum sprites?

By adamgnome on Mar. 9th, 2005 at 8:11 PM

Colosseam doesn’t have sprites. X_x

Nice though, I think it’s best you did this before 150 more Pokemon come out. :P

Um have you edited all the images for their shiny version or am I missing something (did Ken release two versions of his drawings?). If you did edit them… how?, It can’t be as easy as using a different palette…

I edited them in the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP). I used the hue option to modify the Red, Green, Blue, Magenta, Cyan, Yellow colours. This worked perfect for most of the Pokemon.
