Pokémon Forever

Gym Leaders (Metal Generation)

There are eight Gym Leaders in Johto and eight in Kanto. Each leader awards a badge. All Johto leaders, Erika, and Janine also award a TM.

The leaders' Pokémon, levels, moves, and battle items are the same in all three games. Teams below follow the Pokémon's party order.

Items Used in Battle

Each team lists the items its leader can use on the active Pokémon. Using an item takes the place of that Pokémon's move for the turn. Item use happens before attacks, regardless of Speed. The listed supply lasts for the whole battle. Sending out another Pokémon does not replenish it.

The leader decides when to use an item, so an item in the supply may go unused. Only Pokémon tied for the highest level in the leader's original team can receive these items. Fainting those Pokémon does not make lower-level teammates eligible. None of the Gym Leaders' Pokémon holds an item in these games.
